The Renewable Energy People – together we are TREP – combine wood gasifier and drying technologies together with emission free kinetic power technology wrapped in a bespoke funding package. This end-to-end solution delivers a highly efficient and cost-effective power plant, with strong renewable credentials coupled with operational know how for turn-key operation.

The TREP solution provides significant value add by entering into a specialised fixed contract for the supply of both electricity and heat in the form of a PPA (Power Purchase Agreement) to any business.

One of the core TREP technologies is Gasification CHP which is a patented gasifier which produces pure as from mixed wood chips. The electricity and heat production is based on wood gasification process below:-

• Wood gasification is based on the pyrolysis process, where gasified particles are extracted from wood biomass at high temperatures and with controlled oxygen intake.
• Wood gas, generated by low-oxygen combustion and gasification, is purified from soot, coal, and other particles.
• Wood gas containing hydrogen and carbon monoxide is used in internal combustion engines. When burning, the combustion does not generate any emissions hazardous to the environment.

The competitive advantages of a smaller size (50kWe) gasification solution are an ability to allow the gasification process to accept a higher moisture level woodchip, simple mechanics, cost benefits and operational safety.
